Date: 14 & 15 Nov 2026

Time: 8:00AM - 5:00PM PDT

Location: Anaheim, CA

Leadership and strategy are essential tools for facility managers to effectively take on project management, operations, maintenance, and finance. Facility managers play two key leadership roles:

1. Leading the FM organization by guiding staff and service providers.

2. Influencing decisions and attitudes of leaders, occupants, officials, suppliers, and business partners.

To excel in both roles, facility managers must develop strategies that integrate people, place, and process. They need to align the facility’s functionality with the organization’s goals and resources while fostering innovation to adapt to evolving requirements. (1 of 4 courses that make up the FMP)

After you complete this course, you will be able to:

  • Use the appropriate tools and requirements to manage the inputs, processes, and outputs in developing a strategic plan.
  • Apply leadership theories, change management and communication planning to the FM role.
  • Apply leadership best practices when managing people within the FM organization.
  • Manage compliance with organizational policies and procedures through facility management leadership.
