IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Professional® (SFP®) is an assessment-based certificate program delivering a specialty credential in sustainability. It’s also an opportunity for FMs with an interest in efficiency, data-driven decision-making and sustainable practices. Course/Activity Information

The courseware consists of 3 units comprising of 12 chapters in total. Attaining the SFP credential requires a separate application step after all courseware is complete.

Unit One: Introduction

  • Chapter 1: Building a Sustainable Facilities Program + Assessment (.40 CEUs)
  • Chapter 2: Sustainability Strategy + Assessment (.40 CEUs)
  • Chapter 3: Planning for Sustainability + Assessment (.40 CEUs)
  • Chapter 4: Understanding Financial Language + Assessment (.40 CEUs)

Unit Two: Analyzing Sustainable Solutions

  • Chapter 5: Energy Management + Assessment (.50 CEUs)
  • Chapter 6: Water Management + Assessment (.40 CEUs)
  • Chapter 7: Materials and Consumables Management + Assessment (.30 CEUs)
  • Chapter 8: Waste Management + Assessment (.40 CEUs)
  • Chapter 9: Workplace Management + Assessment (.50 CEUs)

Unit Three: Making Sustainable Change
